If you were in an accident and woke up and had memory loss, would you rather have amnesia or short term...?

Amnesia meaning you forgot nearly everything up until the accident

short term memory loss meaning you remember everything up until the accident, but you can't retain any new information (like the guy from memento or the girl from 50 first dates)

(I understand there are different types of amnesia but I was just using these two examples for poll's sake)

Short term memory loss.

It's more of a temporary thing than amnesia.

I know. I was knocked cold 5 weeks ago, the short term memory loss has subsided.
