Would You Read A Teen Book About A Flying Girl?

she doesn't have wings or a jetpack or anything like that. It has something to do with helium and I'm doing some research to make it seem more realistic. SInce she would obviously just float away, I was thinking that she could come up with the idea of re-creating the Wings of Icarus so she can steer herself though the sky.

she lives in the human world (in Chicago, Illinois) and only has her abilities becuase of medical reasons. She wakes up with amnesia because the doctors erased her memory. It isn't in the future, it is present time, but the doctors are medical geniuses, but human experimenting is illegal, so they go into hiding. The girl, who is the main character, goes along with two other boys (one of which is her brother,) when she overhears the doctors want to kill her after they extract her DNA to replicate the experiment. They want to revolutionize the scientific era.

The two boys always fight though, and won't expain anything to her although they seem to know everything about her; more than she knows about herself. She finally can't take it anymore and leaves them, going all the way to Michigan to a small town called Lexington along the lake. SHe tries to go to school and everything, making friends, but it doesn't work.

The doctors find out that she knows she can fly and kidnap her in a helicopter along with the boy she loves, her brother, and her best friend. She has to now either turn herself in for the lives of her friends and family, or watch them all die in front of her.

I don't know if I researched enough just yet, but it has to do with her lungs and specially modified cells that let her breathe helium. I don't know if the idea sounds a little stupid or ridiculous, just let me know if you have anything on the topic or anything that could help me out! thank you!Would You Read A Teen Book About A Flying Girl?
how can she inhale enough helium to lift her? you said she can breath it which is fine but there's no way she could hold enough in her lungs to FLY

and breathe it? we all do, helium is in the air, just in small amounts- also not enough to make someone fly

I wouldn't read it, it's not my thing but it does sound good until you take into account the things I've just said.Would You Read A Teen Book About A Flying Girl?
humph... It sounds very interesting. I wouldn't mind hearing more about this. I think you need to find out some more information about the side effects of her inhaling helium and what problems that might cause her, but very intriguing idea.Would You Read A Teen Book About A Flying Girl?
I personaly would read the book even if the science is wrong, and it seems really cool. I would read this book
